Second contest of invitations to Dribbble. This is a community site where graphic designers show work still to be completed and receive feedback from other community members. That is the essence of Dribbble, give and receive feedback from other people related to your industry. We find from users who are just starting in graphic design but with a great talent, to professionals working for leading companies in the graphics industry like Apple, Teehan+Lax or Gowalla. Who would not want to receive real feedback from professional graphics?.
Another peculiarity of Dribbble is that designs that are uploaded must be sized to 400 x 300 px (120,000 pixels). Thus can not show a work in its original size but must be a “shot”, a snapshot of a part of it. If it is true that if we checked in as user “PRO” (upon payment of $ 19 per year) you can attach the original file to the shot and then we can show the work in its original size. Dribbble is set in the basketball world, hence its name although it contains three “B’s”. All options on the page are related to this sport, for example: users are divided between Rookies [/ highlight2] (newcomers), Prospects [/ highlight2] (registered users but can not upload their jobs) and All Stars [/ highlight2] (the most followed, the stars).
Now the most important thing: although the web registration is free we can not upload work unless you do not receive an invitation from any member. These invitations are highly valued and there are many users who seek and ask the community to invite them to participate in the page. Each user to invite a new member entitled to upload their work to ensure that that user has a sufficient level so that the page continues to show quality jobs and no jobs to be filled with mediocre or opportunistic users.
Dribbble Invitation Giveaway
A few months LaTroupe belongs dribbble as a “PRO” user, well, not as a user but Jordi Manuel, our designer. He received two invitations a few days ago to invite two new designers. To do this we thought the following, create a “contest” which show us the first work to upload to dribbble and the two that we like will receive their invitation. The conditions are:
- Make a comment on the post saying why you want to be a part of dribbble. Include a link to one 400 x 300 px shot to show what you would be posting on dribbble.
- Send a Tweet that says “Check out the dribbble invite giveaway http://goo.gl/IRDal from @latroupestudios “.
- Follow us on twitter because that’s where I’ll announce the winner.
The two lucky ones will be announced on May 1, 2012 through Twitter.
We look forward to your comments!

Luis Gerhorst February 20, 2012
Hi, I’m Luis. I would love to be a part of Dribbble because I love webdesign. I often add new features to my websites and themes or try around with CSS3. I’m also learning PHP at the moment and I already have some Ideas for a WordPress theme, so I think this will be my next Project.
http://files.luisgerhorst.de/13-dribbble-shot-luisgerhorst-de.png – Thats the shot I would post on Dribbble. It shows a part of my personal website that I’ve just redesigned a few months ago. Here are some more links to things Idi in the last time: http://beautifulweb.tumblr.com/ http://cloudy.luisgerhorst.de/ http://darkthings.luisgerhorst.de/
I hope you like my work, best wishes from Germany,
Luis
